How to Clear your Web Browser Cache

Your web browser stores information about websites you visit; this typically allows the website to display appropriate information to you.

This information (generally stored in 'cookies') can sometimes cause pages not to be displayed correctly.

To resolve this, you must clear the 'cache' where the cookies are stored.

In Microsoft Edge

  • Click the three dots in the top right to open the menu.

  • Choose Settings.

  • From the left-hand menu (click the three lines at the top left if the menu is hidden)

  • Click Privacy, search & services.

  • Under Clear browsing data now.

  • Click Choose what to clear.

  • At the top, choose a time range. Select All Time.

  • Select only the "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" check boxes and then click "Clear now."

  • Close ALL browser windows by Clicking the three dots again.

  • Choose Close Microsoft Edge (or reboot if closing Edge does not resolve the problem)

In Google Chrome

  • On your computer, open Chrome (if Chrome is already open, close it and re-open it)

  • At the top right, click More.

  • Click More tools .

  • Clear browsing data.

  • At the top, choose a time range and Select All time.

  • Please check the boxes next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files. "

  • Click Clear data.

  • Once you have completed these steps, it's best to close and reopen all browser windows before continuing.

  • Reboot if the above does not resolve the problem.

Alternative Solution - Install "Clear Site Data" Browser Extension

You can add a Chrome/Edge extension to your browser to make this easier to achieve.
